Dubai residents complain about desert fox dominance

Residents of The Gardens district in Dubai fear the attacks of foxes, which are increasingly seen on the streets.

Residents of The Gardens in Dubai are increasingly seeing wild foxes in their streets. They seriously fear that animals may attack them.

“I see foxes almost daily, mostly under a tree, near the playground in The Gardens. It scares me,” said one resident.

In response to his appeal, the guards said they knew about the foxes, but they could not do anything about it.

At the same time, residents are forced to change their usual routes so as not to run into foxes. Some are afraid for their children and go for a walk with sticks.

Wildlife expert Dr. Reza Khan says foxes are not a threat to humans. They are often spotted in the Al Warqa area, but they do not attack residents.

Dr. Khan calls for contacting the toll-free number of Dubai Municipality 800900 with all questions about this.

He added that The Gardens is located close to the desert. The area was once part of the natural habitat of foxes, so they can be found here so often.
