Dubai police set a world record in burp

1.5 thousand police gathered in Dubai to set another sports record.

Dubai Police has contributed to the fitness challenge launched by Sheikh Hamdan bin Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council and Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council.

Immediately 1,455 employees took part in a mass sporting event - together they managed to set a world record in burp.

Sheikh Mansour bin Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al-Marri, the Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police, jointly received the Guinness Certificate, which indicates the largest number of people who simultaneously completed the burp exercise.

Major General Al-Marri praised the health initiative, which aroused enthusiasm among residents: "We are determined to continue to adhere to Sheikh Hamdan's vision of creating a sports culture among the Dubai police community, their families and children."

Burpee (burpie, burpie, burpee) - an exercise from the crossfit discipline, which involves performing several movements from different positions in one cycle / session. The burpee exercise was invented in the 30s of the last century by American scientists as a test for the physical development of military personnel. Burpee is currently part of military training around the world. This exercise is included in training programs for persons who are required to have high physical performance: firefighters, special forces, professional athletes of individual and team sports.
