In the UAE, a native of France has been living in a rented car for two years.

In Abu Dhabi, a bankrupt woman has been living in a car for more than two years and hopes that her trials will end soon.

Rashide is 43 years old, she is from France. This week the woman breathed a sigh of relief, because the authorities forgave her a fine of more than 100 thousand dirhams for an overdue visa.

"I have nothing but a rented car. I survive thanks to the help of friends and acquaintances. But I believe that not everything is lost, because they forgave me a fine and I can finally return home and see my mother," complains Rashida .

A single woman reports that she applied to the immigration service, after which her case was transferred to the Al-Ain court.

According to court documents, Rashida was fined 2500 dirhams, she was ordered to leave the country until July 7.

However, the Rashida problem is far from over.

"I pay a loan of 120 thousand dirhams. I also owe 24 thousand dirhams for renting the car in which I now live. I want to maintain my dignity and am not going to run away from my obligations," the woman says.

Since 2012, Rashida worked as a manager in a leasing company in Abu Dhabi. The black streak in her life came after she lost her job in December 2014.

“I earned 15 thousand dirhams and rented a decent apartment in Al-Batin. But when I was fired, my life took an unexpected turn,” Rashida reports.

In March 2016, Rashida was forced to move out of the apartment, after which she had nowhere to go, and she began to live in a rented car.

For the past two years, a woman has been spending time in the prayer rooms in shopping centers during the day and spending the night in the car.

“In the afternoon, I park my car in the underground parking lots of malls. In the evening I look for open parking lots to spend the night. I wash in public toilets or showers on the beaches. I'm used to eating a whole pack of chips or a glass of yogurt per day. I eat normally "Only when friends give me money or food. I was very relieved to find that there are charity refrigerators in Dubai."
