Member of ruling family dies in UAE

In the United Arab Emirates declared a three-day mourning in connection with the death of a member of the ruling family.

The Royal Court of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Sakra al-Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council and ruler of the emirate Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, announced the death of Sheikh Hamad bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi on Sunday afternoon.

The official statement said: "We express our condolences to the al-Qasimi family and the family of the deceased."

Funeral prayers take place on July 2 from 8 am in the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Ras Al Khaimah.

Sheikh Hamad bin Muhammad al-Qashimi will be buried in the cemetery of the al-Qashimi family.

Condolences will be held in Khuzam Majlis from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will resume from 16:00 to 19:00 over the next three days.

Women can express their condolences in the Duhaisa area.

Flags will be lowered for three days out of respect for the deceased, starting on Monday.
