Residents of the United Arab Emirates will be paid for processing in Ramadan

Authorities in the United Arab Emirates recalled the right to extra payment for overtime during Ramadan.

All employees in the UAE are eligible for extra pay for overtime work during Ramadan, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization said.

During Ramadan, the working hours of private enterprises, institutions and companies are reduced by two hours. Public sector employees work five hours a day during the holy month.

Employees who stay at work until 9 pm are entitled to an increase of 25 percent of their salary, the report said. Working overtime from 9 pm to 4 am may require compensation in the amount of 50 percent.
