BVLGARI presents its first collection of fragrances for men

Bulgari presents the new, first of its kind men's collection of first-class Le Gemme fragrances.

The revolutionary chapter in the history of the Roman jeweler was inscribed in the DNA of the master of the taming of precious stones, who went on a long journey around the world to find secret correspondences between colorful jewelry and aromas. So in 2014, the first Le Gemme women's collection appeared, paying tribute to the four gems that are Bulgari symbols.

Using the Le Gemme collection for men, Bulgari recreates a modern map of masculinity that spans all regions - from the Mediterranean to the Middle East.

Bulgari transferred a reverent attitude to stones, their mythology, into the creation of a collection of elite perfumes for men. The perfume master Jacques Cavalier was entrusted with the work on the new encyclopedia of feelings. For the first time in the history of elite perfumes for men, in a rare collection of unrivaled power, Bulgari pays tribute to the great conquerors using the symbolic gems that accompanied them in glorious deeds. All this led the brand to create several decisive and charismatic odors.

The first source of inspiration for the Ambero fragrance was amber, which had a reputation for mythical material in all civilizations, from the tombs of the pharaohs in Egypt to the sanctuary of Apollo at Delphi. A yellow, soft orange, caramel palette is associated with the sun because of the energy it emits. Amber is inextricably linked with regeneration and eternal youth, as well as with Melkart, the god of the Phoenician city of Tire, whose cult, mixed with the customs of the peoples of the Mediterranean, was reflected in the myths of Hercules.

Almandine, a type of red pomegranate, originally named after the city in Asia Minor, present-day Turkey, is a symbol of the great love of Suleiman the Magnificent, the 16th-century conqueror, who was also known as a great esthete to his chosen wife. Suleiman knew that pomegranate, a gift from Hades Persephone, symbolizes eternity in Greek mythology. With the empire leading to the Golden Age, Suleiman flourished all the arts. It was in honor of his exploits that Bulgari prepared the second fragrance in the collection - Garanat.

The Egyptians believed that the onyx stone will help not only move from one coast to another, from the visible world to the invisible, but also return to life after death. It symbolizes male fertility embodied in the black silt of the Nile. His strength is associated with one of the most famous conquerors of the Akkad Empire - Naram-Sin, the man who proclaimed the first ideas of domination in Mesopotamia. The Onekh fragrance is a reference to the golden age of elegance in which perfumes “spoke” in the hearts of people.

All the flavors of the Bulgari men's collection are clothed in an Atelier Oi symbolic design solution - an obelisk. The new bottle calls for adventure and conquest, resembling trophies and talismans described by Herodotus or Pliny.
