The quintessence of the moment

Dubai itself is a work of art. You can love him for his cosmopolitan spirit, you can hate him for the stereotyped uniformity and lack of history, but you can’t stay indifferent. Everything here is modern and very clear, so it is not surprising that art in Dubai is developing at such a pace.

Of course, Dubai has achieved its current success in the field of art, not least thanks to the talented people who live and create here. Such, for example, is the Dubai artist Magda Majczyna. She was born and raised in Poland, she was educated there. Her love of travel and adventure led her to the UAE, whose history and culture have always attracted her.

From childhood, Magda subtly felt art and demonstrated the makings of a talented artist and violinist. She doesn’t remember when she first picked up the brush, but is sure that from that moment the doors of a new world — her imagination — opened up before her, which she could now transfer onto paper or canvas. The same stormy, unbridled gift blows from her disturbing urban paintings.

She finds inspiration everywhere - in conversations with relatives and friends, in lyrics, in human emotions, and even in the socio-economic situation. For Magda, all this is the emotional quintessence of the moment, a feeling that requires expression. And she is trying to give him a way out through her paintings.

She sees her task in causing the viewer emotions, making him slow down, ponder his feelings and realize the whole spectrum of emotional experiences caused by each picture. Combining watercolors, pencils, and her favorite material, acrylic, on one canvas, she gives the image even greater depth. Magda has won local competitions more than once, her paintings constantly appear at exhibitions, and orders come from all over the world.

“I like the combination of graphics and painting. Most of all I like to draw people and the feelings that are born between them,” Magda says. “Each of us hides much more than we used to think, and this is a real source of inspiration. Any person I’ve got my own complex universe in my head. And I like that complexity. "
