And the sun rises

Text: Irina Malkova
BEYONSE - A BRIGHT AND FEWING STAR, ALWAYS DIFFERENT, BUT ALWAYS DESIRED. THIS SPRING IT PRESENTS DUBAI'S OWN NEW RISE FRAGRANCE. We met with the creator of fragrance Locke Dong and found out which secrets were encrypted in this sensual perfume.
Lok, what inspired you to create a fragrance?

Lock: In these spirits, I wanted to convey a new image of Beyoncé - strong and sensual. Having traveled around the various botanical gardens of the world, I discovered the Golden Symphony orchid. Her yellow petals reminded me of gold, and in shape she looked like a treble clef. A melody constantly embodied in my head, embodied in the intoxicating aroma of this orchid, and a floral bouquet woke up the magnetic image of Beyoncé in my memory. She became my inspiration, and it was her songs that formed the basis of the main formula of perfumes.

What is the main formula?

Lock: To give the fragrance softness and femininity in its top notes, we used the aroma of apricot nectar. And the juicy green leaves of the icy basil added brilliance and freshness. The middle notes are filled with the haze of sambac jasmine, freesia and, of course, the Golden Symphony orchid. Base notes of musk and warm woody scents leave a sensual and enveloping plume.

And what type of perfume does Rise belong to?

Lock: To the flower. The aroma is light and intoxicating.

Did Beyoncé have any special wishes for his creation?

Lock: Beyoncé wanted to use orchids, as these are her favorite flowers, and they are present in all her perfumes. Therefore, the Golden Symphony orchid is an excellent choice that perfectly conveys the concept of aroma.

To whom is this perfume addressed?

Lock: Confident women who do not doubt their external and internal beauty.

What trends in the world of perfumery could you highlight?

Lock: These days, the biggest emphasis is on floral aromas that extol femininity. And for greater refinement, woody notes have now often been used.

What is your perfume tip?

Lock: I like it when women apply perfume over their ears and hair.

Why hair?

Because when a girl passes by, she leaves behind a fragrant train that remains in memory. This is exactly what all perfumers achieve.
