Luxury holidays in Sharjah: stereotypes and reality


After the first year of operation beachfront hotel ROYAL BEACH RESORT & SPA, we decided ASK YOU Sirakov S. Muradyan, Group President AL KHALIDIAH TOURISM, for their opinion on the results obtained to date and the prospects for advancing a luxury holiday in the Emirate of Sharjah.

Sirak Samvelovich, we traditionally talk with you on the eve of the major international tourism exhibition MITT in Moscow. Royal Beach Resort & Spa, managed by Al Khalidiyah Group, is one year old. What achievements have you celebrated the first anniversary of the hotel?

Indeed, the Royal Beach Resort & SPA, a member of the Al Khalidiah Tourism group of companies, was opened on October 1, 2011 on the Persian Gulf coast in the emirate of Sharjah. In this short time, we were able to manage a lot. Firstly, we have expanded the range and improved the quality of services of our hotel, which has become very popular in the Russian market, as well as in others. The clients of our hotel are not only travelers from the CIS countries, but also residents of the GCC and many European countries. I think that this was made possible thanks to a whole range of positive factors. Among them: the excellent location of the hotel, the presence of its own beach, the palace interior design, the best spa complex in Sharjah, as well as the quality of our services, which fully meet the requirements of tourists seeking complete comfort and a relaxing wellness holiday.

What, in your opinion, are the main advantages of cooperation with the Royal Beach Resort & Spa hotel for tour operators?

First of all, this is the pricing policy of the hotel. During the year it was different and, of course, during peak periods (the "high" autumn-winter season) we raised prices. However, they did it reasonably enough. Therefore, prices throughout the year were extremely competitive and favorably differed in terms of the ratio of "price-quality".

Today, how would you describe the main advantages of the Royal Beach Resort & Spa over competitor hotels?

I'll start, perhaps, with the most important. Our hotel has a wonderful number of rooms. It has luxurious 2-room suites and a 3-room presidential room. But even the standard rooms in our hotel are distinguished by their comfort and sophisticated design. For information, the standard room size in our hotel is 46 square meters. m, and this is much higher than the average.

But we want tourists not only to sleep and have breakfast at our hotel, but also to enjoy excellent service. Therefore, we create all the necessary conditions for a good rest. For guests and guests of the hotel there is a spa “Time 2 Relax” with separate salons for men and women, which are equipped with Moroccan baths, steam rooms, saunas and massage rooms. Professional massage therapists from Thailand and China will offer everyone a variety of massages. A distinctive feature of our hotel spa is the presence of wellness treatments similar to the best Czech spas, such as Karlovy Vary. Also, one of the advantages of the Royal Beach Resort & Spa hotel is its cuisine, combining both Oriental and Arabian dishes, as well as the culinary traditions of Russia, Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia and other countries of the former Soviet Union. The restaurants of our hotel offer all the variety of seafood and copyright masterpieces from our chefs. All of the above, as well as a respectable interior and a high level of service make our hotel not only competitive in the UAE market, but also a favorite vacation spot for guests of the UAE.
